In the Leica Camera AG supervisory board meeting on September 3rd, 2007 the supervisory board appointed Mr. Andreas Lobejäger as a new and additional member of the board. As a board member Mr. Lobejäger is responsible for Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Risk Management, Purchasing, Legal Department, Information Technology and , Human Ressource. He has been in charge of this department since he started as CFO at Leica Camera AG in November 1st, 2006. After his studies of business management at the University Mannheim Mr. Andreas Lobejäger started his career in Controlling at a manufacturer of flexible metal elements, the Witzenmann Group. After this Mr. Lobejäger changed in the area of household products of the Freudenberg Group, who are well-known for their brand Vileda, where he held various leadership functions. A part of his responsibilities was international controlling and category controlling, as well as, reconstruction of a Greek facility which has been destroyed after an earthquake. In addition to his function as Director of Controlling he was also Country Group Business Manager for Vileda GmbH, as well as, a member of The German General Management.

In its meeting of October 10, 2008, the Supervisory Board of Leica Camera AG appointed Dr. Martin Picherer Deputy Chairman of the Company's Board of Management. The appointment was made at the suggestion of Dr. Wolf Schumacher, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Leica Camera AG, and Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Chairman of the Board of Management of Leica Camera AG. On the Board of Management Dr. Martin Picherer is responsible for the Sports optics business unit, Sales Japan and Asia, License Business, Merger + Acquisitions, as well as Export & Competition Law. Dr. Martin Picherer studied law at the universities of Augsburg and Munich. Having been trained as a banker concurrently with his studies, he subsequently, during his doctoral studies worked for HypoVereinsbank AG, Munich, and in 2001 obtained his doctorate. From 2002 until 2004, he was active at the international law, tax consultancy and audit firm, Haarmann Hemmelrath & Partner, Munich, in the fields of banking, stock exchange and capital market law. For the firm he was active in law consultancy, particularly in respect of the foundation of companies, the restructuring of existing companies and groups, as well as the acquisition and sale of companies and corporate divisions, and was entrusted with negotiating and designing contracts for project funding and with advisory services for banks in regulatory matters. From 2004 until 2006, he practised as a lawyer in the Munich-based firm v. Waldthausen, lawyers and tax consultants, in the fields of banking, stock exchange and capital market law, as well as company law. Since 2006 Dr. Martin Picherer has been practising as a lawyer for ACM Projektentwicklung GmbH, Salzburg, the principal stockholder of Leica Camera AG.

Supervisory Board

The supervisory board consists of Dr. Andreas Kaufmann (chairman), Dieter Maier (vice-chairman), Patrick Thomas as well as the employee representatives Edgar Zimmermann and Rita Woschée.
